Bisp Nestlé Pakistan and Akhuwat Join Forces

Bisp Nestlé Pakistan and Akhuwat have teamed up to support rural women who are part of Nestlé’s Rural Women Sales Agents program under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). Nestlé has given Akhuwat a grant of PKR 2 million to offer interest-free loans to these women in Renala, Okara, Sheikhupura, and Pindi Bhattian districts to help grow their businesses.

Nestlé’s BISP Rural Women Sales Program aims to lift women out of poverty, addressing issues like malnutrition and lack of job opportunities. So far, 500 women have graduated from the program, with plans to reach 5,000 in the next few years.
