Good news for Punjab’s farmers! The Punjab Government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has officially announced the launch of Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Phase 2 from August 14, 2025. Under this scheme, farmers will get a Rs. 10 lakh subsidy per tractor to purchase high-powered tractors and move towards modern farming practices.
Punjab Green Tractor Scheme Phase 2
The scheme is a continuation of last year’s successful Phase 1 where thousands of farmers benefitted from the same facility. This year, the government has doubled the number of tractors to make sure more small and medium farmers can take advantage.

Punjab Green Tractor Phase 1 and What’s New in Phase 2
In 2024, Phase 1 was launched and received a massive response. Over 9,500 farmers were selected through a transparent digital balloting system and each received Rs. 10 lakh subsidy to buy a tractor.
Now, in Phase 2, the number of tractors has been increased to 20,000 more than double so that a larger section of the farming community can upgrade their agricultural equipment and improve productivity.

Why This Green Tractor Scheme Matters
Agriculture is the backbone of Punjab’s economy, yet farmers struggle with rising prices of machinery, seeds, and fertilizers. A 75 HP tractor costs around Rs. 2.5 million, which is beyond the reach of most small farmers. With this scheme, the price will drop by Rs. 10 lakh, making it affordable.
Key benefits include:
- Reduced manual labour.
- Faster and more efficient cultivation.
- Higher crop yields and better food security.
- Promotion of modern agricultural technology.

Government’s Long-Term Vision
CM Maryam Nawaz has repeatedly stated that farmers are at the heart of Punjab’s development. The Green Tractor Scheme is part of a broader agricultural reform plan that will also provide fertilizer subsidies, cheaper seeds, and solar-powered tube wells in the future.
Final Words for Farmers
If you missed out on Phase 1 or were unsuccessful in the last balloting, this is your chance. Prepare your CNIC, land records, and PSER survey before 14 August 2025. Apply as early as possible to avoid last-minute rush and keep checking official updates for the final deadline.
This is not just a subsidy — it’s a golden opportunity to modernize your farm, increase your production, and reduce costs with full government support.
